Rachel D. Gebaide, a shareholder at the firm, leads the Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor & Reed, P.A. Labor and Employment Law Practice Group. She represents companies in the management of their human resources issues. Rachel regularly represents employers in federal and state courts and before administrative agencies in defending against claims involving allegations of employment discrimination and violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA), and other employment laws. Rachel also defends discrimination claims arising under the Fair Housing Act. In addition to her litigation practice, Rachel drafts employee handbooks, employment agreements, non-competition agreements and separation agreements. She regularly counsels clients regarding workplace issues and compliance with the FMLA, FLSA, WARN Act, the Affordable Care Act, and other employment laws. Rachel also has extensive experience in conducting independent internal investigations.
Timothy C. Haughee is a senior associate with the firm and represents employers in state and federal courts with respect to claims filed by employees under Title VII, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN), and the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Tim also assists employers in conducting internal investigations regarding employment-related matters and counsels employers with respect to employment agreements, non-competition agreements, severance agreements, and employee handbooks. Tim also has experience in family law and corporate law.
H. Gregory McNeill is a shareholder and Group Captain in the firm’s litigation department, which includes the Labor & Employment Law Practice, and co-chairs the firm’s Healthcare Practice Group. Greg is an experienced trial attorney with considerable courtroom experience in state and federal courts. His litigation practice includes business, real estate, construction, commercial landlord/tenant, and the enforcement of non-competition and confidentiality agreements and trade secrets. In addition to his litigation practice, Greg counsels clients on the enforceability of their existing non-competition agreements and drafts restrictive covenant agreements tailored to protect the legitimate business interests of our clients.
Drew Sorrell, a shareholder at the firm, is a litigator whose practice focuses on employment, commercial and technology issues. Drew has litigated Title VII, ADEA, ADA, retaliation and related issues. Drew also has experience with the sometimes complex interplay between technology and employment law including employee-related data breach issues. As part of his litigation practice, Drew leads the firm’s Privacy and eDiscovery Practice Group.
Melody B. Lynch is a shareholder with the firm. Melody’s practice includes commercial litigation and employment litigation with an emphasis on managing eDiscovery issues at all phases of litigation. Melody’s labor and employment law experience includes litigating restrictive covenant agreements, defending against claims under Title VII and the Fair Labor Standards Act, and drafting employee handbooks, employment agreements, non-competition agreements, and separation agreements.
